For me, it was always about making personal sacrifice(s) to remind myself of the ultimate sacrifice the Lord made for me. I would give up food items, Coke, once I gave up text messaging, Facebook, etc. Maybe I didn't do it this year simply because I am struggling with my walk with Him. Who knows.
